The Best Date Night in Asheville: according to the Experts

Just in time for Valentine’s Day I asked some of my favorite people on Instagram for dream date ideas in Asheville.

Here’s what they said!

 The Bull and Beggar

The Bull and Beggar

Jenn Gordon @ashevilledatenight:

Because I am a lover of craft beer, great cocktails and adventurous food, I must say that one of my favorite date nights is getting a pint of Iron Rail IPA at the Wedge Brewing Co. and strolling through the vintage shop next door called Splurge.  The merchandise at Splurge consists of unique finds from all over the world, especially lighting fixtures and his is collection is eclectic and invigorates imagination.  When we’re all done with that, I love heading over to the bar at Bull and Beggar for a delicious craft cocktail and oysters!  Bull and Beggar’s menu is incredibly adventurous, farm to table and the service is always on point.  I seriously could do this all the time.

I’d love to start with cocktails at Sovereign Remedies, grab dinner at Rhubard, and get an after dinner drink beside one of the outdoor fireplaces at Capella on 9. Of course I also love a date at the Grove Park with apps or dessert and wine on the terrace.

Sarajane case @sarajanecase:

My dream date would be coffee on the Trade and Lore patio, shopping on the [Woolworth] Walk, to an afternoon movie at the Fine Arts Theatre, Manhattan service and Little Jumbo, dinner at Cucina 24, and after dinner cocktails at the Montford Rooftop!

One of my favorite romantic spots is the The Battery Park Book Exchange and Champagne bar - Getting a bubbly then finding a seat in some secluded nook. That’s probably my favorite spot. I also love getting a boozy hot chocolate in the lobby at the Grove Park Inn and sitting on the porch if it’s warm enough or in front of the fire…We love going to Bouchon because it’s a super cute place and are very GF friendly - drinks and soup. My last favorite place is Heiwa Shokudo; the restaurant is very small but you can reserve the room in the back and it’s very private and intimate.
